There are 3 main ways through which warm water benefits us:

1. Digestive Assistance

Warm water helps digestion by stimulating the production of digestive juices.

The water after boiling for 10 minutes can stimulate Agni directly and facilitate the digestion of food during the meal.

This is because when water is warm, it helps to relax the muscles in the digestive tract and makes everything move along more smoothly.

2. Metabolism Improvement

Warm water helps improve metabolism.

This is best understood by the fact that drinking warm water can help your body break down food more easily.

Notice how a glass of warm water early in the morning helps you pass stools easily.

3. Internal Cleansing

Warm water taken between meals can flush out water-soluble toxins from the dhatus (body tissues).

Boiling water makes it more able to penetrate deep into the channels of the body. This is a quality known as sukshma, which can only be imparted by boiling water.
